K-12 Educational Programs

The Ontario education system has been through some difficult changes, including a new funding formula, the introduction and rapid expansion of EQAO testing, and a new and challenging curriculum. As we adapt to these changes, it is important to make sound decisions that will provide a solid foundation for future educational programming.

Research and program evaluation can provide essential information to be considered in decision making. It is useful throughout the school system in the development and evaluation of Ministry, board, school, or even classroom programs, and to ensure that schools and departments run as efficiently and effectively as possible. By avoiding ineffective bandwagon fads and reducing inefficiency within programs or systems, research and evaluation can ultimately save money within the school system.
